A Goldman Christmas Carol
Ghost busting

The Ghost of Christmas Past
has little meaning for their brokers.
Ditto Christmas Future.
Dare we hope they all are smokers?

Their goal is Christmas Present
    and their end-of-year bonanzas,
Inspiring many more
    we-won't-let-you-fail extravaganzas.

Living for today to let
    the devil take tomorrow,
They'll shoot the moon with anything
the Fed will let them borrow.

Who the hell dares rein them in?
    Timidity's contagious,
And Timid Timmy Geithner is
    a far cry from courageous.

Perhaps if Tim were tinier,
there'd be less cause to worry.
But when he leavs the Treasury,
they'll hire him in a hurry.

Revolving doors for regulators?
    Ghosts of Christmas Past?
Wall Street's never staged a crisis
    that couldn't be surpassed.
