Obama's Gulf War
Bailouts For Blowouts Are as ugly as bailouts for banks Bailouts for banks are anathema to most. Incumbents who backed them are finding out why. Their gambling profits and humongous bonuses And what's our reward been? Loans in short supply. Who else is hiring the way Wall Street is? Who'll screw us again and be "too big to fail." Blowouts from Big Oil will still need more skimmers Till we ride their execs out of town on a rail. What are these bailouts called when they're not needed? Tax breaks? Incentives? Big Oil subsidies? Congressional give-aways? Do campaign donations Warrant gifts from taxpayers as extensive as these? The question that Wall Street's been asked for years Still remains "Where are the customers' yachts?" While we ask Big Oil what our subsidies bought us? Higher gas prices and tourist boycotts!
