With hundreds affected. Scotland Yard? Who are they?
Has the New Scotland Yard been abdicating?
How many cops can his tabloids have bought
That they have to depend on a New York Times team
Of reporters to augment any clues that they've got?
How embarrassing to be reduced to relying
On U.S. reporters to help solve their crimes?
Holmes would be saddened to learn British Police,
Like Britain's oil drillers, are well past their primes.
What worries us here in the U.S. of A.
Is not just how much of
