Scalia swung and missed again:
Campaign finance reform? Strike Two!
Strike One occurred nine years ago
when he appointed "W."
Strike Three renames us "The U.C.",
The United Corporations.
How better to accommodate
all of Goldman's aspirations?
Deregulate derivatives;
foreclose on all sub-primes.
Penalties for overdrafts?
Predetermined prison times…
Auctions, not elections,
for vacant Senate seats?
Of course there won't be many
when all incumbents are repeats
With tenure, if they're breathing,
and have done as they were told
Though not with any limits on
how often they're resold.
A Congress of employees;
a Senate of part-timers.
No broken campaign promises
to chalk up to Alzheimers.
You think you might incorporate
so you can have a say?
Not unless you first bid for
a Moodys Triple A.
