'Deweys' Win Big?
(The deadly politics of No)

'Deweys' come out of Nowhere to stick it to Blue Dogs?
To the rest of the world this may come as a shock.
But the Blue Dogs and Geithner, Bernanke and Summers
Have offered their voters a veritable crock.

Two parties of No to pretty much everything –
So much negativity, No one has a choice.
No to job stimuli. No out-of-work pay.
No 'alien' ballots. No political voice.

Xenophobes Graham, McConnell, McCain
Say No to those born with a strange sounding name.
No citizenship. No late night TV
Unless watched from the wombs from whence they came.

Bank-devotee bureaucratic economists
Want No loans for the needy that they can afford.
No taxing the wealthy. No resulting deficits.
So No to incumbents we thought we adored.

And No staying buried. That's why 'Deweys' are back with us.
They're on a crusade to throw these bums out.
Who cares if the last time the vote went against Tom.
We've seen where that got us: riddled with doubt.

So much neither party now dares to say Yes
To budget amendments to get themselves paid.
'Deweys' are hoping that means they'll follow the money
By adjourning to drink their Jonestown Kool-Aid.

It won't make much diff'rence to business in Congress.
Their newest 8-tracks have been put on repeat
So No one risks missing the same old same old
That warns vegetarians, "No, No, No meat."
