Florida Snowbirds Prefer Harper's Tar
(With no Canadian water policies)

How many hundreds of ducks died diving
into Syncrude's notorious "Dead Duck Lake"?
How many more thousands will dive into more tar sands tailing ponds?
It was later revealed sixteen hundred birds died.
Syncrude's CEO says it won't happen again.
     They'll quack their magic wands?

And deploy more scarecrows, effigies of Steve Harper?
He doesn't scare industry; but perhaps waterbirds?
Will birds[ bring bottled water when they migrate to Canada?
Will Big Oil be dependent on the birds sloppy thirds
     or their liquid bird turds?

With no water policy, none of Alberta's water is potable,
And as they continue it's beoming explodable.
Does that make for a neighbor that we're comfortable with?
How soon till the Great Lakes exist as a myth?

Texas to the south used to be our major worry,
But Alberta, Canada's catching up in a hurry.
Now with the climate change warming them up,
we're pretty sure when they blow
We'll hear sighs of relief from Florida snowbirds
as we're be buried in tar rather than snow.
