Good Old Kentucky Lynchings
(The welfare state rebels)

'Twas an old fashioned lynching of McConnell and Paul,
Those Indian givers who took back what they gave,
Removing Kentucky from the federal dole,
A move that was foolish and incredibly brave.

Who knew Kentuckians, who hate big government,
Were so destitute they'd resort to the rope.
But lacking their usual federal subsidies
On ammo, rope, it turned out, was their last ray of hope.

Of course they'll continue to vote against spending
Unless what is spent is spent on their behalf,
Like Social Security and crop insurance.
Remove flood insurance? Write your own epitaph.

For years it had looked like their Mitch understood.
McConnell was famous for dealing in pork,
Until he converted to the gospel according to
Kentucky's favorite Tea Party dork.

Blue Grass hypocrisy was unknown to St. Paul.
He thought Kentucky would love doing without
Government subsidies like everyone else.
Now he and Mitch hang there to remind the devout.
