Harry, Don't Let Them Let Me Down
Obama sings with Waylon Jennings to the Mel Tillis tune
"Ruby, Don't Take Your Love To Town"
(You have painted up your lips and rolled and curled your hair)

So I called them "savvy businessmen"
and treated them to lunch –
The next day folks were bitching
    that Obama pulled his punch.
Can't you squelch this ugly rumor
    that Geithner's spreading 'round?
Harry –
Don't let him talk me down.

I hear those Massachusetts
    voters cost us Teddy's seat.
Does that mean your healthcare bill
    will go down to defeat?
If you keep Baucus dawdling,
will I have to knuckle down?
Harry –
How could we lose to Brown?

Your Blue Dog Democrats are still
    afraid to spend a cent.
They criticize their president,
    not where Bushie's budget went,
Nor what Palin claims she spends
    for just one hand-me-down.
Harry –
Don't let them let me down.
