Heroism It depends A hero is as like as not A fellow who got fatally shot, Not someone who's been left to rot In a place like Gitmo or Nam. But with the proper PR that's not so And a reputation can grow To a point where no one can know What is so and what's merely a scam. For a prisoner of war like McCain, Whose sex life was hard to restrain, Heroism's dependent on pain And copious amounts of flim-flam. Many doubt aggravated assault, An opponent's last minute default, Or a fall in the San Andreas fault, Could keep his from being a sham.
