Internationally Funded Elections
(For a Congress of foreign policy specialists)

How quaint to believe we American voters
Need control over how our elections are run.
Why don't we embrace international lobbying?
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce has shown how it's done.

International tax havens are all the rage
As more corporations send more jobs abroad.
Shouldn't we let workers who take them buy in?
Who said foreign funding of campaigns was outlawed?

It can't be illegal. The Chamber's official!
What else could the "U.S." in its name imply?
You mean it's just one of those lobbying firms
Whose morals and ethics are in short supply?

They're not as selective as Rupert has been.
He waits until pols that he likes pre-announce,
Then signs them up as Fox News propagandists.
Most lobbyists rarely wait that long to pounce.

So obtaining that overseas funding sure helps.
Oil mogul donors like Koch and Trevor Rees-Jones
Could unload their CO2 generating investments
If Capital Gains taxes remain scary unknowns.
