John McCain Is Dreaming
Being sung to the Mamas and Papas classic
"California Dreaming"
(All the leaves are brown and the sky is grey)

Cindy's hair was brown.
John's had long been grey.
He dumped his crippled wife;
She was in his way.

Certainly bad form
To amscray, not stay.
But John McCain was dreamin'
How best to get his way.

Annapolis was fun –
Half the time he's gassed.
Adm'ral for a dad,
And still he barely passed.

First plane that he crashed?
In Corpus Christi Bay.
Still John got his wings.
Adm'rals still held sway.

Shipped out to The Med,
A fun place to play.
Spanish power lines
Were in his way, Ole'!

That was number two,
But though he walked away,
John McCain was dreamin'
Of what the hell he'd say.

Lost his third en route
To a football game.
Parachuted out –
His plane, of course, to blame.

Though McCain has served,
Unlike Hillary,
His record's really bad
Militarily.

As a Commandant
John McCain's success
Doesn't bode that well
For fixing Bushie's mess.

Still McCain's been dreamin'
Of what he needs to say
So we'll never know
How he got here today.

Seems like John McCain
Endorses Bushie's games
Since he, too, excels
At going down in flames.

John McCain's still dreamin'
That things might go his way.
John McCain's still dreamin'?
But with that résumé?
