Losing A Congressman?
(With his vote for the KXL pipeline?)

Was Congressman Maloney a victim of their baloney?
They've ruined the chance that he'll get my vote
By supporting that pipeline he was elected to stop
Making his chance for re-election extremely remote.

Sean Patrick won't last longer than his predecessors,
Each of whom lasted two years at the most
And they didn't have a pipeline that they could vote for.
With the KXL pipeline the dummy is toast.

What a shame when a promising career is cut short
Because those that he listened to were once again wrong.
Tempting him in his first term naivete
To join the crowd of old crazies and just string along.

Was the remuneration enough for not being re-elected,
To be voting for what his constituents don't want?
How'd Republicans manage to reassure him
That stupidity voting won't come back to haunt?

And that there's no way the KXL pipeline could rupture?
Look how well Exxon has screwed Arkansas.
What was a pristine lake is filling up with spilled tar sands.
It's the best landscaped parking lot you ever saw.

But who wants a huge parking lot where they used to fish?
Tar-tainted catfish is hardly delish,
Unless you believe and can swallow Exxon's PR,
And are a driver who needs that kind of room when parking your car.
