Moody's: From Boom To Doom (Credit ratings for sale) Is it ironic or merely moronic, But shouldn't Moody's be busted instead of entrusted With rating our federal debt? They were so wrong for ever so long – Long enough to let banks build and walk their own planks, Isn't that as dumb as it's gonna get? Not if we let every deficit hawk Sanctify anything that gets thought by these dopes. Don't we remember the trouble they had Separating reality from their customers' hopes? They were paid to dispense the best ratings they would – The better their ratings, the more they could sell. How much must a deficit hawk pay to Moody's To purchase a rumor that we're going to Hell? No way in the world can we educate children Or consider the use of carbonless fuels When it's a tossup if the Congress and Moody's Or we who believe them are the ultimate fools.
