People Vote, Not Dollars

(How did Lazy Scalia get it so wrong?)

You ever see a dollar bill
Wait in line to get to vote
In faded green or dressed to kill?
One man, one vote. Nothing 'bout a treasury note.

I thought The Constitution said
That we the people got the vote.
I'm pretty sure I never read
That part was what his Court rewrote
To indicate that dollars could,
Or that the founding fathers ever, ever thought they would.

There's more of us than corporations.
More of us than VanderSloots.
We just need to band together
And use our bigger in cahoots.

Campaign commercials? Use your remote.
Show them they can't buy your vote.
Make it clear you're not for sale,
That TV's not the Holy Grail.
