Republicans: A Rare Breed
Plotting their own extinction

Tell us that it's workable –
    instead of pro, we're con.
If we can be against something,
    that really turns us on.

Who gives a damn for health reform?
We ain't been sick a day.
Ain't Aetna big as Goldman Sachs?
Who cares they're slow to pay?

Take "Cash for Clunkers" for example;
    what's not to dislike?
Sure, we'll use a lot less gas,
    when Exxon goes on strike.

But cut down on emissions
    with more fuel efficiant cars?
No way I'll swap my Hummer
    to a bunch of commissars.

We don't believe in climate change
    no more than Bushie did.
In fact if we could bring him back,
we'd try to ditch the kid.

Look what he's done to Texas:
    prolonged the goddamn drought –
If only we had been in charge,
    it would've petered out.

For what this country's crying for
is eight more years of Bush,
A hear-no-evil, see-no-evil
    head up Cheney's tush.
