Triggers the switch to renewable energy from fossil fuels?
Will the earth have heated up irretrievably so
Because of a few persistent and greedy fossil fools?
Who'll be caught flat-footed with worthless investments
In a chaotic infrastructure that's been inadequate for years?
While the world surrounding them increases in temperature,
Who'll be enjoying the cheers and/or the jeers?
Those who've lost or made billions gambling the lives
Of many more billions who had little to, or nothing to, or no say,
Because they intentionally and deliberately chose not to,
Or because they were "too busy" simply looking away?
