Spoonin' Bitumen?
(Mixed with those damn maple leaves)

Alberta's tar is leaking before it crosses the border,
Before it gets into the Keystone XL,
Before it gets out of Alberta's oil patch,
And no one's able to stop it?
Not Exxon? Not BP? Not Shell?

What will they they do if some crosses the border?
Five billion barrels of bitumen a day?
How much of those billions will reach Oklahoma?
Was the Department of State warned how much might get away?

If the oil's begun leaking while it's still in the ground,
We might not need to worry about a next round.
Were Canada's Oil Barons bragging too soon?
To clean up their leakage they'll need a really big spoon.

And where will they put their goop covered with muck?
Who'll want to buy it? Who's that far down on his luck?
Their maple leaf emblem will at last have its day.
Maple leaves soaked in bitumen will not blow away.
