Subsidizing Compulsive Gamblers
Wall Street's

Wall Street doesn't call it gambling.
    To them it's speculation
With some other sucker's money –
    a public spirited donation.

They've shown that it's impossible
    for geniuses to lose –
With friends in the right places
    their addiction's not to booze.

As gamblers they're anonymous
    with no intent to quit.
Lloyd Blankfein, the philanthropist,
has them champing at the bit

For ever greater leverage
to have that much more to give
After screening all their winnings
    through an ever finer sieve.

But is subsidizing these guys fair
    if we're not subsidizing Trump?
Aren't gamblers all born equal?
Why's one a champ and one a chump?

Why leave it up to Goldman's
    bankers on Obama's team?

Where's Obama's sense of fairness?
    Where's Obama's self-esteem?
