That Tea Party Entertainment
(Like Greene vs. DeMint)

Somefolks are panicking, some living in dread,
Afraid of the nightmare Scalia has wrought.
But judged by their value as sheer entertainment
These candidates rant with the finest we've got.

Creativity far beyond Hollywood's greatest –
Wonderful models for bobblehead dolls
Financed by patrons of Big City culture –
Candidates welcoming media brawls.

Insistence upon their doing away with
Help for the poor in health – food tor the old –
Yet some have suggested not killing the elderly,
Though what they will live on's reduced one-thousandfold.

Resumés have been a bone of contention.
Few can remember where they've worked or been schooled.
Some have discovered that in prior interviews
They were either too candid or else April Fooled.

The Circus is coming! So who'll make the Big Top?
Such hilarious choices: Greene vs. DeMint.
With more viewers for C-SPAN than Fox Newa ever had,
How will Rupert find anything worthwhile to print?
