The DSCC Plan
For throwing Mitch under the bus

The DSCC has been "running the numbers."
Ten more seats and old Mitch can proclaim himself King.
King of what? King of Nothing. Well, practically nothing,
Which is good because nothing will still be his thing.

Ten more Republicans nearly as eloquent
As Bushie, or is that asking a little too much?
'Dumb' doesn't hurt. There's no speaking involved.
Just raising a hand as a sign or some such

So which Democrats are we willing to part with
In order to throw King Mitch under the bus?
Controversial deadwood we find disappointing,
Who think they can count on non-voters like us?

This would be so much easier if only Mitch liked
Folks who, thank goodness, weren't raised to like him.
We're trying real hard to destroy that mold
Of the prissy and properly priggish and prim.

If you haven't lived here as long as he has,
Why would you vote for a bigot like Mitch?
Now in order to make him majority leader,
Gibbs' 'professional lefties' may be forced to switch.

Once he's the "leader", let the gamesmanship start.
Test his xenophobia. Don't pretend he's immune.
Don't let any proposals of his come to fruition.
Filibuster the clown till he's Boehner Maroon.
