The Impossible Dream?
(Breaking ranks with their Nanny? Rejecting his pledge?)

What are the odds of the G.O.P. breaking ranks
Eliminating some tax expenditures?
Much better we hope than Newt Gingrich risking
A lengthy campaign without l'affaire d'amour.

Grover's insistence is costing lots more than Callista's.
With what Grover's wasting she could buy Tiffany's out
And have plenty left over to cruise while her Newt
Serves two four-year terms as she's gadding about.

Cutting G.O.P. funding of ethanol blenders
Could trigger big cuts in our gifts to Karzai.
Imagine competitive fights to cut spending
That tell Cantor's Oil Mafia, "In a pig's eye."

But Nanny Norquist seems far less concerned with
Reducing the deficit than he is cutting taxes.
Is he willing to see how much a bad rating
From the infamous Moody's of Wall Street impacts us?

Who's paying Moody's will determine the rating.
Will it be good enough to give Grover free reign?
Can Kochs funnel enough through Issa's Kazakhstan caucus
So Nanny Norquist won't be feeling the pain?

Or will the deficit blossom into a surplus?
So Koch billionaires can no longer buy Moody's?
So Issa works for us, not a Kazakh dictator?
So Gingrich swears off Grover's approved list of beauties?
