Two Fools
(Alberta Premiers Klein and Stelmach)

What's there to reclaim of Alberta's tar sands complex?
Nothing that the U.S. would want to annex.
Who can remember what the moonscape looked like?
Trees, shrubs and meadows? Who helped them go on strike?

Who needs a new Dust Bowl? We've got Inhofe's Oklahoma –
Or the lingering stench of the bitumen aroma?
Perhaps not as obnoxious till it was disturbed
In the name of "progress" whose greed has yet to be curbed.

The lust for expansion by lying premiers –
One percent royalties made oil execs drool –
Too good to be true. They can't believe their windfall.
Who but Klein or Stelmach would be such a fool?
