Unforeseen Consequences
(Anti-abortionist politicians didn't see this coming?)

Some say that red states look almost identical:
Governors, state houses and now laws that appall.
No wonder it's called Copy Cat Legislation.
What's disruptive in one state can disrupt them all.

Is there a coven where they dream this stuff up
With one central caldron where they brew for extremes?
Where what seem like nightmares to the voting public,
To Wingnuts at ALEC are extended wet dreams?

It's their chance to show Grover they're just as important.
So what if they can't make the nation default.
Changing the practice of sex in the "heartland"…
Concealed weapons for women? It could grind to a halt?

So ask that Republican, whose anti-abortion
Vote robbed his mistress of her right to choose,
How much he prefers his sex with a condom
And tenderloin steak with no teeth when he chews.

Ask in a month or two how their deal's working out:
Their quid pro quo system for campaign donations.
Have prophylactic manufacturers given
What was expected in appreciation?

Why didn't they specify dollars, not samples?
How many gross can old Republicans use?
Not near as many as they probably hoped for
Before they found women don't all share their views.
