We're Old Mac Sycophants
Old Mac needs a lot more like this
to Irving Berlin's "A Couple Of Swells"
(We're a couple of swells; we stop at the best hotels)

We're Old Mac sycophants,
Who know he has no chance
And that he's not the Mac he was
When we were still in short pants.

We won't admit or show
That a younger so and so
Has a better grasp of the world at large
Than many years in jail bestow.

When Senior Moments come more frequently
It scares the GOP AARP.

He started rather poorly
Near the bottom of his class;
He wasn't pegged a "hero",
But merely "that dumb ass";
He wasn't really shot down,
But just ran out of gas;
Which surely qualified him as top brass.

His problem's been Geography
With countrys he can't spell,
But History's his forté
For he memorizes well:
"Lincoln crossed the Delaware—"
"Ike fought the Civil War—"
"The Shia Anbar Awakening
That 'The Surge' came before—"

So if instead of plain historian
You want Bush phantasmagorian,
He's top drawer.
