Judy Miller's Claim To Fame
Sung to the Sam Coslow tune
"My Old Flame"

My Val Flame,
I've had trouble spelling her name.
My notebooks show I've failed again
To know who said what, where, or when –
Some claim to fame!

Who's to blame?
I've now had my moment of fame.
Poor Scooter knew I'd fight his fight
And prove I still can't get it right –
A crying shame.

Folks thought that they'd be fascinated
   by what Scooter says –
He'd implicate his prez in the crime –
But I'm the dope who's been doing time,
And all because I couldn't spell,
Or guess what comes before the ell,

As Val Plame –
They claim that's how she spells her name –
Fell victim to our little game,
While Novak still escapes the blame –
My claim to fame!
