I have a friend, a very good friend, who thinks Bush won't get shot. That, though I watch for four more years, I will have watched for naught. Yet I maintain that it could be cable TV at its best; Better than all those reruns of Detroit fans vs. Ron Artest. Of course he might recover just like Ronnie Reagan did, But isn't there at least a chance a bullet might affect his id? He might become an icon, like Kennedy and Lincoln. More likley it will come too late to prevent the dollar sinkin'… But in time for TV ratings that could top Pearl Harbor, Or those if Yale's invited to play football at Ann Arbor. But too late to bring back those he's murdered in Iraq, But hopefully just late enough to follow Dick's last heart attack. Bob Carlson |
